Meißen Travel Guide: 96 reviews and 403 photos
While visiting Dresden, we went on a day trip to Meissen, which is close by.
All I knew was, that there is this world famous Meissen porcelaine/china manufacture - I didn't know, that Meissen is a wonderful medieval town in a wonderful landscape.
Truly a travel destination to recommend!

If I'm ever in Meissen I will make sure I try the famous Meissen Fummel!
great infos and pics ! Never heared of THAT sort of Fummel... 'Of Meissen Men' by J.Steinbeck, den Kommentar von Themajor finde ich herrlich !!
I hope we have time for a trip here too
Fascinating see the birthplace of the crossed swords porcelain. It looks delightful. Didn't Steinbeck once write a book about the place? 'Of Meissen Men'?!
