I still can't believe I was really there....... For more than 15 years I have been dreaming about visiting Antarctica - and in 2003 my dream finally became true:
I went on a fabulous tour along the Chilean fjords, around Cape Hoorn and into Antarctica.
This trip really was THE trip of a lifetime for me and I still can't believe, I was really there.... Looking at the pictures and building this page might help me to realize, that it was not only a film, but reality!
It was truly breathtaking to see the icebergs, penguins (oh, I LOVE them!!!), sea elephants, seals, glaciers and just all of this spectacular landscape.
I do have conflicting feelings, though: on the one hand I would encourage everybody to go there, on the other hand I feel like this part of our earth should be protected and therefore noone should go there...
But I am definitely glad, that I got to see it! |
