We went to Münster just for the weekend. In fact, we were invited to celebrate the 50th birthday of a travel friend, whom I had met on the Transsiberian Railway trip some ten years ago!

We arrived in Münster early and strolled through the cozy little city for about 3 hours. So much to see there - and still we had the feeling, that we had seen plenty during this time!

The party in the evening was great fun, so this short trip will be remembered with a pleasant feeling!

Hi Christine, I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to Münster back in 2005. Even a Dutch government report has grudgingly admitted that Münster has "a reasonable level of bicycle use" even though it isn't in the Netherlands.

Münster is really still one of my favourite cities in Germany. But I agree you have to keep watch of the bicycle traffic - they are simply everywhere!

On I was in this town a long time ago well before I even know VT existed. I love the clock tower though and yes bikes. hahaha:-)

Well, I will have to return soon to check on the rest when you have completed it. Impressed by all the bikes...wish USA would be so conscienties about fuel consumption!

Great start...but why is this page still under construiction ...The Cafe Extrablatt chain is quite poular in this region of Germany. :o)

Great start Christine! Münster looks great! The bicycles reminds me of Holland :-)) I'll be back for more!
