Ever since I played the game "Globetrotter", I had wanted to visit Macao one day. In this game there is a casino, where you can earn money for your future travels -
or lose it all!
But I did not want to go there to gamble, rather because I was curious about a place, where two totally different cultures had mingled.

I only spent one single day in Macao and had a great time!
It wasn't quite what I had dreamt it to be, but still I am glad I went there!

Lucky you, because you made it to Macao. When I was in Hongkong several years ago, all the ferries were completely booked out, and I could not go there. As your page shows, I missed a lot, but I definitively would also have visited the casino :-)))

Christine, what a fascinating place. I like the way you pay attention to detail, the way you make it personal, and the way your honesty always "seeps" through. A very strange mixture of cultures, indeed. Like the tid bits about history.

NIce page about Macau... I need to built mine as well... I also wanted so badly to know this place, but mainly because of its portuguese related history. Some like a parallel to my original Brazil.... Alex
