Heading North isn't all that Bad!!!

After numerous vacations in Italy or France, I finally convinced my husband (then: boyfriend) to try a destination in the north, when going on a vacation with his two daughters.

We were lucky to find a nice and very reasonable appartment and so we headed north.

Not only did we have lots to discover, but we also had the best weather in all Germany!!!

I learned about Caspar David Friedrich (great Romantic!) fm a VT German friend. Drove around Northern Germany once but Rügen seemed far fm Travemünde and I was heading to Berlin. I must get there one day! Loved your page Christine :)

We also had a family vacation in Rügen once, a bicycle trip in the early 1990s. It still had a very DDR-ish feeling to it. Haven't been back since, but it looks great in your photos.

Christine, fabulous page about this wonderful German island. Your page brings back many memories of my trip to Ruegen. :o)
