Truly an off the beaten path destination Actually Jan Mayen is not a tourist destination at all! This island used to be militarized zone and not open to the public.
We were lucky that
a) the commander of the station gave us permission to land on the island and
b) that the weather permitted our landing!
I was so excited that we were allowed to have a look at this piece of earth that many people have not even heard of and I would like to share some of my impressions with you! |
