The Faroe islands lie just south of the Arctic Circle. For that reason they do not really have a "true" midnight sun. Nevertheless between May 21 and July 21 it does not really get totally dark at night, which is quite a nice feeling!!

As sorry as you might feel NOT to experience the true midnight sun, there is a definite advantage to this fact as well: you get to take some real nice pictures of the sunset instead! Doesn't that look wonderful?
