The Cinque Terre is a coastal region with 5 colorful villages tucked on the rocks

Each one of these villages has its own charme - be it the harbour, the colorful houses, piazze, restaurants or beaches! I am sure everybody will find something to really enjoy!
We spent 4 days in Cinque Terre and saw a lot! This region is both for activities (especially hiking), but also for leisure - so check it out!
Since this is an overview page you may find tips that sound familiar to you from browsing through my specific Cinque Terre village pages. If so, please just click on and enjoy the pictures!

Another fine new page, Christine! I didn't try the local wines when I was there, so I have a good reason to go back. Hope you are enjoying this great sunny weekend. --- Don
Very good information, thank you. Picking grapes there must be a very hard job!!

A very interesting area of Liguria with picturesque villages. I suppose how beautiful can be a rest at this coast and you were lucky to spend there several days! I liked Vernazza best of all. Thanks Christine for excellent virtual travel.
Must go there once, thx for the tips Christine.
