Tübingen - colorful despite the rain - Tübingen

We found this hidden gem more or less by chance:

we had won an ebay auction (a wonderful sofa, which we had to pick up in a place near Tübingen), so we decided to not just go and get the sofa, but to spend a little time in Tübingen itself. And boy, were we happy about this decision!

Tübingen is a university town with a beautiful old city center, lots of half timbered houses, old buildings, churches, small streets and a lot of university life going on!

Although we went in the middle of the summer, we were not really that lucky with the weather. Well, thinking about it, we were lucky, because it only rained a tiny little bit while we were walking around, but it sure started pouring after we returned to the car!!!

And despite the rain and the grey sky, Tübingen was so colorful! The shops, the people, the flowers - I really liked it a lot!

There are some most beautiful buildings to be visited in Tübingen, so please do enjoy my little page and do consider visiting this place!

Wow - another gem of a German town. Love the color and detail in the Town Hall & the half-timbered buildings. And "day old bread bakery" - what a great idea!

Thanks for the bit of homesickness... yes, it worked! I'm glad you enjoyed Tuebingen. It's a magical place, small and full of wonderful things, many of which you found! The bakery is the best, and climbing the church tower is great, especially at noon.
