Thinking about it, I have been to Italy seven times so far:

1977: Venice
1998 Tuscany
2000 and 2003 Lake Garda, also visiting Verona and Venice
2004 Rome and Vatican
2006 Vernazza/Cinque Terre
2007 Cagliari/Sardegna

I do have pages for the various locations,
but I will try to give an overview here of what I have seen of Italy so far!

Sardegna

Italy - that is not only art and architecture, it is also fabulous landscape, outdoor activities, sun and wind! Tuscany, Cinque Terre and Sardinia invite you to go hiking or swimming and in case of bad weather you will find plenty of cities to enjoy museums and other indoor sights!

Yummie!

But Italy to me also means enjoying life - eating, drinking and being merry! Italian cuisine is fabulous and a quick espresso while walking through the streets is an absolute must for me!

You can see that I really have become an Italy lover over the years - I do hope that my overview will convey some of this!

The Cinque Terre is beautiful, I am sure you are going to enjoy it! I haven't written my page yet.... hahaha, I am in desperate need of some more VT time! But with the summer approaching quickly, I guess that page needs to wait for a little while more ;-)
