Manarola is the second village of the Cinque Terre coming from the east - situated between Riomaggiore and Corniglia.
It is a very old village, although the historical facts are kind of hazy...
We went there on the Via dell'Amore - an enjoyable 30 minute walk from Riomaggiore.

| | . . Manarola is a very colorful and laidback village - it is said to be the quietest of all the Cinque Terre villages. I still love to think back of how we strolled through the narrow streets discovering lots of fine little details and not being pushed by crowds of fellow tourists! |
. . The surrounding landscape is awesome: the sea (the Golfo dei Poeti) is crystal clear and all around the village you have vinyards, trees and flowers. What a joyful piece of earth!
Oh, just in case I have not mentioned it: The Cinque Terre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - for a good reason! | | |
