Monterosso al Mare

by tini58de - last update: Mar 25, 2007

Monterosso al Mare is the first or the last town (depending on your view) of the Cinque Terre.
It is the biggest of the five villages and for us was the starting point of our boat tour to Riomaggiore.

Personally, I did not like Monterosso at all -
it just did not fit into my picture of a typical Cinque Terre village!
And I guess Monterosso IS different!

Since we only stayed there for a short time, this page will be only a small one,
but I will try to convey a few infos and a little bit of my view of it!

The Cinque Terre card doesn't include the train service anymore. I've just read on the site. Ciao!

Despite not really liking this village/town you've given it a very fair write-up. And it's maybe worth a visit for the church, which looks beautiful, and that boat trip too :)

I never been to this part of Italy before but it does look interesting. Thanks for sharing. :-)
