Climate: Warm clothes advisable....

  • Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: When we visited in January we did bring a couple of warm clothes with us - which turned out to be a good idea! It was nice and warm during the day, but in the evenings when the sun had set it was rather chilly!!! And if you are in the nearby Atlas mountains it gets cold quite a bit as well because of the altitude!

We were lucky that the sun was shining most of the time, but rain is quite common (at least in January)

    General: Zoom as Zoom can!
  • Tip Rating:

  • Photo Equipment: Marrakesh is a very touristy place and so the locals know that there will be pictures taken. Especially on Djemaa el Fna you will want to take pics of the artists, snake charmers and acrobats - and they will definitely come up to you and ask for money! With a good tele objective/zoom you can avoid much of the hassle!

Very enjoyable page. Like your tidbits about local cuisine, saw dust and snakes.... Hope to get to Morocco one day.

Many fantastic pictures and great tips. I like especially first warning tip and the one on Argan oil! Well, I miss Djemma el Fna and hunja now :-)
