This was a real bargain:
a flight from Stuttgart to Istanbul, three nights in a very nice hotel for about US$ 150,-- each!!! So, I managed to convince my boyfriend to go - and he agreed!

And we did have a fantastic time!!!!

water sellers: Same thing happened to me- the cad took a larger note just the same way. And there I was, so trusting on my first day, I even have a photo of it to remind me of what a mug I was.

Nice tips & photos. I spent an interesting week in Istanbul with my daughter, and feel I know where most of the main shops are, and what they sell.

Istanbul -The City where east meets west ! i love this city !! Strolling around will definately an issue as from the 15th of sept. And furthermore, our team PaperRazzia did it again, we won and now i'm leaving for Alabama/USA on oct/3th Greets

I was just thinking of those fish boats today. It amazed how they would bob and lurch with the wakes left by the big boats while standing over the hot grills. It didn't phase them. The best meal in Istanbul.
