    • What a sight this is: the illuminated glittering Place Stanislas in the very center of Nancy! We enjoyed it thoroughly on the evening of our wedding anniversary - and enjoyed it even more so with a glass of champagne!

    The cafés are open until late and even without a drink it is a spectacular atmosphere!

    Right there on Place Stanislas you will find the Opéra nationale de Lorraine in a building that used to house the tax collectors offices!

    We did not see any performance there, but we managed to sneak in and see just a little of the beauty of this building! I can imagine it to be quite an experience to see an opera in this beautiful building!

     I have been several times in Nancy for my job but never found the time to really visit. Except Place Stanislas, of course! I should come back for an actual visit! I have discovered a lot in your page, especially with Art nouveau!
