I never thought, I would ever see this place...
I remember back in 1980, when I was an exchange student to the US,
I used to watch this wonderful geography magazine on TV called "Ushuaia" -
what an unpronouncable name!!!!!!!!
I remember sitting in front of the TV on Thursday nights at 11 p.m.
watching this interesting magazine and wondering about this very strange name,
until 23 years later I even set foot there!!!
In summer of 2003 we went shopping in France
and since I was with Sonja (VT member yumyum), I could stroll around all the alleys, that I usually could not enjoy,
when only shopping with my husband...
And what did I see????????
Wow, a shower gel called: Ushuaia!!!
Of course, I bought some and this was my first preparation for Argentina!

Our trip to Antarctica ended in Ushuaia - and this place was much better than the TV show and the shower gel (although I really still enjoy that!), but being off the ship after so many days aboard is something special.
So I do hope, you will enjoy my little virtual tour through a city at the end of the world!!!!!!!!! |
