Ho hum. Is this all ya got?

Not a big fan

I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of Toronto. Every time I've been -- and it's five times, now -- I always get the impression that the entire city is engaged in a desperate attempt to be New York City north of the border.

Unlike most places in Canada, which have a unique and vibrant personality, TO always comes off as hopelessly wannabe for me.

Every time I go, I want to see the better side of the city. I try to have an open mind. But each time, I encounter people with (unwarranted) attitude and ego; buildings with no grace, style or elegance; and "attractions" with little or no charm.

Sorry, Toronto, but you just don't turn my crank.

Sorry you haven't had a good time in Toronto so far. It may be possible, however, that it is your own attitude which is the problem--I'm somehow not convinced you have an 'open mind' about the place.
