Whether for travel or relocation, Vancouver is one of the world's premiere destinations. It's smaller than many world-class cities -- about three-quarters of British Columbia's 4 million people live within the Greater Vancouver area -- making it one of the globe's safest places to live.

A picturesque setting -- mountains to the north, the Georgia Strait and English Bay to the west, and the Fraser River to the east -- and a deeply multicultural population, not to mention an open-minded attitude towards typically charged subjects like sexual orientation and marijuana use make Vancouver a positively wonderful place to visit or live.

I'll add a lot of information to this page over the next few months; I hope to give as much information about this, my favourite city, as I plan to mine from all of you about the rest of the world.
