Laredo is one of the historic towns of the coast of Cantabria. Its old area, full of palaces and blassoned manors tells about its significance in past times. Today the town has grown a lot, taking profit of its incredible beach, known as La Salvé. |
| | The beach of La Salvé is a huge sandy tongue in the middle of the Santoña-Laredo bay, made up by the ría of Treto. |
Puebla Vieja The old town, known as ¨Puebla Vieja¨ is a historical area full of nobiliar residences and a great atmosphere of fishing port. The contrast between the old walled town and the new neighborhoods that have mushroomed along the long beach for the sake of tourism is enorm. | | | Fisher`s dwellings in Laredo. |
