|  | On the opposite side of the Bay of Santander lays the small and quiet suburb of Somo. The village is not a destination in itself, but the beaches are gorgeous and large and so are the views of the city of Santander. The beach of Somo continues as a sandbar that juts into the bay and almost closes it. It is called el Puntal. |
