Getting TO/AROUND: There are two airports near Rome: Fiumicino and Ciampino, but most of the flights arrive at Fiumicino, which is well connected by train and taxi to the city. Rome is a walker's paradise, with so many beatiful sights at every step. The only annoying thing is the intensity of the traffic in some areas. For long distances, you must rely on the taxis, since the metro and buses are dirty and not very extensive.
