I spent a month in Peru immediately following high school graduation. I lived with a host family in Lima and spent most of my time there, although I did get to visit Iquitos for a weekend! I'm hoping VT will add Iquitos as a location soon 'cause I'd love to do a page about it! Anyway, this was my first trip to South America as well as the southern hemisphere, and boy was it strange to be in 60-degree weather in June! I didn't do a whole lot of touring while there, but I'll share with you advice on some of the places I did visit. |
