Venice has it's contrasts. Along the beach, you see people with many styles, and lots of colorful graffiti. The shops are unique and there are good bargains, but you must watch out for fakes, (purses, watches, etc) just like anywhere else. The cafés are great! Don't miss the SideWalk Café, right on the boardwalk, world-known and a good place to relax and people-watch. Of all the places I have been to in the world, I love this place for it's many contrasts. If you go in where the residents live, it is peaceful and beautiful especially along the canals, as you see in the picture.

• Pros:Colorful, wild, laid back, great shops.
• Cons:Not for those seeking museams, or fine dining.
