Kinabalu Park

I was in Kota Kinabalu 2 years ago and wanted to climb Mount Kinabalu, The Heaven Of Borneo, but didn't have enough time so this time I came to conquer it but unfortunately I did not reach the peak which stands at 4095m but I am happy to be able to reach 11,000ft Gunting Lagadan guesthouse for an overnight stay.

It Was Just Raining Up And Down

Our climb wasn't that good, I think the worst day of my life, it was raining so heavily that you just feel like climbing up a waterfall then rocks... The water was just rushing down and you could actually hear water pouring down nearby. BE PREPARED

Look Out For

1) Frog - a size of a cricket located
2) Squirrel
3) Pitcher Plant - mostly located at 4-5km red in colour
4) WORMS - 5 inch long blueish, greyish in colour

no photo due to heavy rain

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:The Toilet are just amazingly clean...!!!!
  • Cons:Better be prepared.... km4 - 6 is the killer....!!!! even worst when it rains....!!!!
  • In a nutshell:Its a must even if you do not reach the peak
