Perry's not too exciting at night, according to the local teenagers. They can't wait to go off to college somewhere faraway like Florida, it seems.

However, the New Year's Eve family celebration called First Night Perry has become quite a resounding success. We attended last year and really enjoyed ourselves!

First Night Perry is sponsored by the Arts Council for Wyoming County, and I'm told that the Council has numerous other activities throughout the year that do take place in the evenings in Perry.

Perry Rotary organizes; sponsors include the ACWC as well as over 60 businesses and individuals.
