North Hutchinson Island is an elite section of Fort Pierce, Florida. My daughter's grandmother relocated here from New Jersey . We don't know too much about the place other than it borders on Vero Beach and that the North Hutchinson Island residents we met prefer to do their daily routine errands and dining-out in Vero Beach instead of the mainland in Fort Pierce. A cousin in another branch of my family is currently in the process of relocating here as well. He's a construction manager for the Florida Parks Department, and the beautiful state park on North Hutchinson Island is his next assignment -- lucky guy!

Pros and Cons

Pros:It's next to Vero Beach
Cons:It's the most expensive part of Fort Pierce
In a nutshell:"Over the hills and through the woods, to Grandmother's house we go!"

Thanks for the interesting page! My wife has an Uncle who used to live on the island and we really enjoyed our visits to this very nice slice of Florida!

Hutchinson is a great location. The beaches and beautiful and the people are friendly. Definitely a good bet.
