This tree is called "The Senator" and considered Longwood's oldest resident! My daughter's great-grandfather retired to Longwood, Florida and his home has since passed down to Nathalie's grandfather. We spent Christmas and New Year's in Longwood, but the weather was unseasonably cold throughout our whole visit, as low as 29 degrees Fahrenheit at night. I thought the whole experience was pretty surreal for a first visit to Florida, seeing people driving around Longwood with gloves on!
Anyway, I imagine we'll end up visiting Longwood on a regular basis in the future, so why not start a little page about the place, right? I'm not an expert tour guide when it comes to this place, but at least I can share my perceptions with you. Thanks for visiting and for your feedback!
