Getting TO/AROUND: Although not a tip on actual modes of transportation, this tip is in direct relation to the subject. If you are not familiar with driving in Texas, but are in other parts of the U.S., then the way traffic lights are fixed may be puzzling. Unlike in the other 49 states of America, here in Texas traffic lights are situated horizontally, not vertically.

Getting TO/AROUND: Probably not the most reliable methods of travel in Houston, but definitely one of the safest, taxis are economical when you’re able to obtain one. The availability seems to be a major problem in Houston.
