Our small, ecotouristic beachfront hotel is located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. Since prehistoric times, Playa Grande has been one of the world's principle nesting beaches for the Giant Leatherback Sea Turtle. Louis Wilson, the founder of Hotel Las Tortugas, was instrumental in preserving Playa Grande as one of the last functioning, healthy nesting areas in the world for this now highly endangered species. Join us and witness this spectacle of nature which occurs right at our doorstep every October through
March. Even well into April, you can walk our beach in the early morning hours and see the baby turtles making their way to the sea in the half-light of the early dawn!)::

Jaco is dirty, horrible and full of whores. I went there with my gringo husband and by mistake we went to the Bettle Bar, of course we were not good for the business the owner surely supports this Whore House as it is, and it should be call like that.

There's a dry season??!! The worst of the wet season was over by the time I arrived in Costa Rica .. apparently!
