PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE SENDING ME ANY E-MAIL

Cap de Nice
First of all, thanks for visiting my pages!

Before sending e-mails asking for any info, PLEASE CHECK FIRST my TRAVEL TIPS and also other Virtual Tourist users' tips.
I like helping people but sometimes the info you are looking is already in the TIPS section.

I will be glad to anwers your questions by e-mail, but I ONLY write back to Virtual Tourist e-mail accounts, therefore I do not receive outside e-mail!

I always receive many e-mails asking for hotel suggestions... The thing is I've never needed to stay in a hotel before here in Nice or around the area.

Here are some sites that might help you out:

Nice / Les Camelias Youth Hostel (in the city center)

Clairvallon International Youth Hostel (in Cimiez)

Hostels

Bed & Breakfast (usually far from the city center and convenient only if you are renting a car)

Main language: French
D?partement: Alpes-Maritimes
Money currency: Euro (?)
Electrical current: 220 volts (50 Hertz)
Best time to go (my opinion): May and June or September and October (if it's not raining, of course)
Worst time to go: July and August
Rainest months:October and November

Nice is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region due to its mild and sunny weather almost year-round and also by its attractions

Elaine, re your "Canet" tip....paraphrasing Billy Joel.... I'd rather feast with the sinners than fast with the saints. I enjoyed reading through your restaurant info. : )

Spring is in the air - summer beckons - to see the parc awakening, nice. Reminds me I need to stretch my legs.

Good new restaurant tips, I will try those 2 socca restaurants - esp Chez Pipo- now I know why it has always been closed before :-) I thought the Pain Q was a bit over-rated -had breakfast there once. Seemed popular though - must be location perhaps?
