I spent about a week in Dubai in December of 2001. My boyfriend and I took a trip to visit his parents, who live in Oman, and we decided to visit Dubai on the way since we were going all the way to the Middle East. It was an intriguing city, and I would go back in a heartbeat!

Pros and Cons

Pros:Awesome shopping and culture.
Cons:It's in the desert, so very hot!
In a nutshell:A great place to visit - in winter!

Hi, great to see you enjoyed Dubai and beautifully written. Your photo of Dubai souk is actually of the 'restored' windtower houses of Bastakia, near the souk.
