I'd been there before, but San Francisco is such a large city that I visited places that I didn't even know existed on my previous trips. Me and my honey Manoj tromped through most of San Francisco, including Chinatown, North Beach, the Castro, the Mission district, Japantown, Soma, and Golden Gate park. It was sunny the entire 4 days, which was marvelous. People generally were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the unique bohemian culture of the city, and the free-flowing attitude of the people.
I've never gotten a chance to see so much of the city as on this trip; we stayed on foot most of the time, and rented a bike for a day. I'd recommend foot or bike travel over cars or buses whenever possible, as it allows for much more opportunity to really experience the city. |
