Antigua is lovely. It's situated in a high valley with 3 volcanoes and hills to all sides. The architecture is interesting and evocative, and I love the colorful paint on many of the walls of the city. It's a very charming city. It is quite touristy though. It's a great place to study Spanish, as it's reknown for the high concentration of Spanish language schools found here. I took 2 weeks of lessons and then traveled around the country, trying out what I had learned. It was a neat experience! |
