Bamburi Beach
Bamburi is the largest touristy complex at the North Coast of Mombasa, there are number of hotels here, one after another, all over to Shanzu. Bamburi sand beach is several kilometres long and could be perfect resort for the family oriented visitors. The sea-water is pretty clean but unfortunatelly very shallow. The deep water, for real swimming, starts only after passing coral rif, which is around one kilometer far from the shore.
Great majority of Kenyans aren't able to swimm but they like to enjoy in the water font using pneumatic tyres.

our savannah guide
I have learned alot about wild animals and their life in savannah. Our guide shared with us some very interesting facts and stories. The elephant sleeps only two hours during the day, while the giraffe never sleeps at all. The most dangerous animal of savannah is the hippo, fact which surprised all of us. Good news is, hippo do attack mankind (even when in vehicles) only if extremely disturbed or when defending baby hippo.
Just for a fact, the lion is called king of the animals but he is only the fourth most damnegerous animal of savannah.
antelopes
Most of the animals do not care much for the vehicles in which we were turn around the parks. Of course, they were guarded but pretty much uninterested for our presence, except for the african wild pig runing away all the time because this animal have alots of enemies in savannah. As I was told, wild pig is kind of juicy plunder for all carnivorous animals from savannah.
Kilimanjaro
Most of Kenyans consider Kilimanjaro as some kind of holy mountain and I felt lots of proud and awestruck in their voices when talking of it. It rises up from nearly flat ground, reaching six thousands meters in height, and is the highest peak in whole of Africa. I wasn't there, leaving it for my next visit to Kenya, but even this pics, taken from the far distance, conjure up in fancy how mighty the mountain is.
Savannah
"Seeing with own eyes" worth here in Africa more than in some other places. Before visiting it for the first time in 2004., I had a lot of predjudice towards Africa and its landscapes. In two of my previous visits I've learned that not all is as written in the books or shown by the films.........
to be continued
the giant turtle
Most of these animals I have already seen before, but in the Zoo only where they share limited space and ambient wich is far of being their natural enviroment. Some people say, the safari park is nothing but huge zoo and the only difference is, it is situated in Africa. I could share a small part of such an opinion because the fact is, we pay ticket to watch the animals and they are kept closed in fenced area.
Thanks to our fellow member SanguiniA who help me to find out the name of the lovely bird on my picture nr. 3, it is Grey Crowned Crane known also as the national bird of Uganda.
Sunset
Here you can see the pictures, taken one after another, with camera aimed directly to the sun and the landscapes under the reflective light of the sun while going down. The colours are spectacular because, all the sudden, the sky becaming coloured in broiling yellow-gold colour. On the other side, the forrest becoming mixture of enriched natural colours and everything looks breath-taking.
Sunset in savannah
It is hard to say which part of the day in savannah looks more spectacular, the sunrising or the sunset, but definetely the both are just fascinating. One thing is for sure, being here and missing one of them or maybe both would be a great shame. The only thing that crossed my mind was to keep these scenes in my memory as long as possible.
Malindi Beach
Malindi Beach, or just Malindi, can be called "Piccola Italia" because more than 4000 Italians live here. As a metter of fact, most of the restaurants and bars are held by Italians and here you can enjoy in traditional italian cuisine and excellent seafood.
I made a day trip here, visiting nearby historic sight of Gedi and the beach resort famous for its underwater world. Haven't seen much of the town, only the small part of it situated on the seashore where we had lunch in one Italian restaurant.
The Malindi beach resort looks good, it is several kilometres long sandy beach wth the characteristic white coloured sand. The water is much deeper here than the water in Shanzu or Bamburi beach but still, it is shallow.
Diani Beach
Diani Beach is located about 30km south of Mombasa and is known as an residential area where many whites own the houses. It is considered as one of the most beautiful beach resort in whole of Kenya, in particularly for its white coloured sand. Diani Beach is windiness area, most favourable for sailling and windsurfing.
Unfortunatelly, it was cloudy day during my visiting and the colour of the sand isn't that spectacular on my pictures as it is in a real life. There is huge difference here between high and low tide, almost hundred of meters, and it makes this beach in particularly attractive.
