Citta Alta - Piazza Vecchia Thanks to cheap flights, Bergamo has became one of the most visited place in Italy and the number of visitors is increasing permanently. The fact is, however, that most of the tourists use it's airport at Orio al Serio as landing base only in order to get to the other Italian destinations. If so, they are doing serious mistake because city of Bergamo, and in particularly its Citta Alta (the Upper Town), has lots of things to offer.

Torre del Campanone You can get to Citta Alta by car, bus or walking, I suggest you funicular which starts immediately from the basement of the Upper Town. Not many towns in the world helds funicular railway and it might be unique experience for you.

Charming. Zanimljivi su ti talijanci koji crkve "oblace" u pruge k'o nekakve pidzame. Btw, u Splitu postoji barokni bedem Contarini - ne znam da li je u nekoj vezi sa ovom fontanom u Bergamu. |
