In case you are passionate traveller, one of those whos major interest are important historical sights, the town of Como will be disappoined experience. It is very old town, founded by the Romans, and yet almost nothing from that period can be sen inside the town. Como looks to me like an modern 20th century town with only a few buildings left from its medieval times, among which the cathedral is a must see. |

|  | Brunate The most northern end of the city, the one which lies bellow the Brunate Hill, is strictly residential area. Nothing except the Funivia to Brunate is worth of visiting there. |

Hello Boris, Como was the starting and ending point for our visit to Lake Como. We enjoyed ourselves but truly its setting on the Lake is the best part. We didn't make it to Brunate either...I envy your long lens ;-) Thanks...Tom | Azhut Thu Jul 28, 2005 15:10 UTC
