Grotte di Catullo, the remains of the Roamn Villa, is a must see when in Sirmione. The complex is situated on the top of the peninsula, in a walking distance or by small touristic train which cost you one euro only.

I've never seen so many gelato stores anywhere as in Sirmione! I had the good fortune to stay at Villa Cortine. It was lovely.

We tried Ristorante San Lorenzo based on the review by croisbeauty. We liked it so much that we ate there both days of our visit. The food was excellent. and the local white wine Lugana (made from Trebbiano grapes) is delicious and inexpensive.

Wow, such a beautiful place, a real gem! Your photos are beautiful Boris! I wish I read this page before, because I would certainly have visited Sirmione on one of my trips to Italy!
