I was in the Sahara Desert, under 55 C degrees, but never felt any breathing problems there. Area around Luxor isn't that hot as Sahara is, there were 45 C dergrees "only", but I felt as suppose was thrown indise of the kitchen-range.

El Karnak - the curse of the pharaohs

Well, although I am not a superstitious character, this time I might believe that something in the air really excisting regarding "the curse of the pharaohs". I didn't disturb any mummy and yet have had a bad luck.
During visit to The Valley of Kings there was barely tolerable heat and for the first time in my life I felt breathing problems. After visiting interiors of two or three tobs, where the air was really heavy, I had to make a break out on a fresh air. All I wanted at that moment was to leave that place as soos as possible.
I did snaped alot of pics at the Valley of Kings using separate memory card especially for that sight. It is my usual routine to use separate memory cards for different sights, so I removed it out of the camera and saved that card after we left the Valley of Kings.
Our next stop was in Karnak visiting the temple complex. In my shooting plan Luxor and Karnak had the topic of Thebes, so I inserted in the camera a card partly already used in Deir el-Bahri. After we passed the second Pylon this card was full and I had to insert the new one. By mistake, however, I have inserted the card with the pics made in the Valley of Kings, adding new snaped pics of Karnak complex on its empty space. On our way back from Karnak to Hurghada I removed out that card, replacing it with the new one.
When I came back home from Africa, but it wasn't immediately because from Cairo I went to Kenya spending three weeks there, I realized that all pics from The Valley of Kings and part of pics from Karnak are missing. It's obvious that I lost entire memory card, or maybe it was my curse of the pharaohs?
