In the hotel restaurants of low class you may be served by cold soup and hot bear, sounds like joke but still it can happened to you.
Take good care what your money worth when changing in Kuna (loco currency) and check invoice carefully before paying it.

Alternative: Do not pay in Euros, although accepted in some shops, restaurants etc., change your money in the banks and pay in kuna.
