AMSTERDAM - A City which NEVER Sleep !

by Pakistaniguy - last update: Jan 26, 2003

An old city in a Modern World

Ship of 'Dutch East India Company' in a Musuem.
21st October 2002

I woke up early in the morning in Zürich - Switzerland and reached the kloten airport of Zürich. I always prefer taking morning flights because then you have the whole day ahead of you. Plus! you see the exotic view of sunrise from the sky, thousands of meters above the ground. I simply love it ! Today i was very excited because i was flying with one of the World famous airline. I always wanted to fly with KLM and this time i paid extra to get the KLM tickets for my journey to Amsterdam. For this i didn't have to wait any longer and i was on board my first KLM flight.

It was Terrible flight and the plane was shaking. I never experienced such an uneasy flight before. May it was raining in Amsterdam. Finally the plane landed and i thanked God ! At immigration things went well too. Then i took a metro ticket to reach the main Amsterdam city. I was actually a transit passenger for 2 and a half days in this beautiful city. Unfortunately, the weather was not sunny and it was constantly drizzling. But it didn't discourage me from taking a lot of photos of Amsterdam from digital cam. I stayed in Bob's Youth hostel and enjoyed my stay in this dutch Capital. So, continue your virtual tour to my Amsterdam page.....but not to forget giving me your feed back.

Thank You & Best Wishes,

Muhammad Umer Durrani-
