Shopping Break at Breitscheidplatz

To take a break from shopping at the Kudamm you can either sit in one or the other luxuary café, or just hang out at Breitscheidplatz (where the Memorial Church stands) with it's numerous food and souvenir stands and different kinds of people sitting on benches and by the fountain watching street musicians or artists performing.

Alexanderplatz

The "Alex" doesn't really offer exclusive shopping opportunities, but everything you need can be purchased in the big "Kaufhof" and around, also inside the train station.

Friedrichstraße

This street in the East is more and more entering into competition with the Kudamm in the West! Big exclusive shopping palaces dominate, like the Lafayette Galleries.

Shopping Mall: Potsdamer Platz Potsdamer Platz Review

At Potsdamer Platz, in the Daimler-Crysler area, there's a big shopping mall (the circular building on the picture).

Kurfürstendamm Ku-Damm (Kurfürstendamm) Review

("Kudamm") It's the representative street of West Berlin and a great shopping mile with luxuary boutiques and international store chains. It's not really my piece of cake (and not my budget), but it was a nice experience to walk down the street on a saturday afternoon and what the people :-)

KaDeWe (Top Floor) KaDeWe (Kaufhaus des Westens) Review

At the last floor there are cafés and restaurants serving a great variety of specialties to chose from.

KaDeWe KaDeWe (Kaufhaus des Westens) Review

KaDeWe means "Kaufhaus des Westens" (Shopping center of the West). This biggest shopping center of the continent (excluding England I believe) was opened in 1907, and sells just about anything. It's pretty crowded though.

What to pay: Probably a lot?
