It started off with a cheap flight... 30 Euro for Cologne-Reus-Cologne. A week before Christmas. I loved Barcelona from the very beginning and I ended up wondering how to get a chance of staying longer, much longer.
There is so much history in BCN and at the same time it's so modern. It's fabulous for shopping. Sightseeing. Walking around. Eating. Drinking. "Snacking". It's right by the sea with big ferries for the Balears and Canaries in the city center more or less.
There are places you just don't want to leave, like the Parc Guell.
I have loved other cities, like Paris or Vienna or Dublin or Helsinki or London. They are all different and unique and wonderful, but nothing is like Barcelona!!!

Always wanted to go to Barcelona. Thanks for the tips.
Barcelona is an amazing city! Lucky you got to see the Picasso museum, all of the work was in Brooklyn when I went!
Barcelona! A dream of mine to go here one day! And reading your page makes me even more eager to go! The work of Gaudi is one thing I would love to see, and sitting on his colourful bench in Park Guell. Yes, I can see that is one of your fondest memories!
Very good write ups .. now awaiting your pictures of BCN ... its SUCH a wonderful city :-)
