A fantastic new service offered by two big art museums (K20 and K21): if you buy a ticket for either one or both of the museums you can rent one of their bikes for free - to get from one museum to the next or do a spin around the city.

All you have to do is see one (or both) of the museum, show them your passport and leave a deposit of 20 Euro, and the bike is yours until you bring it back to one of the museums until 5 p.m. You get a map and a lock - and lots of attention at least at the moment, because the bikes are pretty new.

This ferry over the Rhein river runs only about 10 days every year, during our Kirmes. It takes you from the Altstadt (city center) across the river to the funfair.

Very useful, coz it takes a long time to walk over, and there's never any parking space.
