The Riverwalk...
San Antonio

San Antonio.. the Riverwalk, and the Alamo, are well known for being top tourist attractions of Texas. And it is not surprising, as these places have so much to offer the traveller. Located in south central Texas, San Antonio has a rich Hispanic culture, and a large Texan-Mexican population which produces the feeling of an old Spanish colony.

The Riverwalk, or Paseo del Rio, is the unique attraction of San Antonio, and simply one of those places that is a 'Must See' if you are visiting Texas. About 2.5 miles of the San Antonio River, flows through the heart of downtown, and the area has been converted into a beautifully landscaped canyon. The banks are lined with beautiful trees, and tropical flowers, there are waterfalls, and walkways, and many bridges.. as well as tour boats, for those who would like to take a cruise on the river. This place is jumping with activity, lots of Resturants, Nightclubs, Bars, Hotels, and Shops, line the sides of the river.. with music and entertainment to add to the wonderful mood of the place.

San Antonio lies on the edge of the Texas Hill country, considered by many to be the most scenic area in the state.

Hi Hun! Yes, SA is awesome and I enjoyed just walking around and taking in all the sights when I could. Hated the freeways, but loved the destination! Hugs!

The resturant shown as Tex Mex is named Mi Tierra and is located in Market Square. It is a wonderful resturant as I eat there everytime I visit.
