Fort Hood, the largest training post in the world, sprawls over 217,337 acres (339 square miles) of Central Texas. There are more than 220 square miles of training area, making it the only post in the United States capable of supporting two full armored divisions, the First Cavalry Division and the 4th Infantry Division.

Fort Hood is the largest employer in the State of Texas. Approximately 45,000 soldiers are assigned to Fort Hood. The large concentration of military dependents strongly influences the area's business climate as well as the approximately 1,000 soldiers who separate from the service each month. With advanced high-tech training, these soldiers provide an experienced and well disciplined labor pool.

The Ft.Hood outdoor Museum is a must see. There is an incredible amount of tanks, planes, helicoptors, and other Army transport vehicles on show, all very interesting, and really worth coming to see.

The Bradley 5M2A2.. 'The first of the Bradley 5M2A2's entered service in 2000. They are equipped to carry 3 crew, a commander, gunner and driver, as well as 6 fully equipped infantry men in a very cramped space.

Humvee...( HMMVVV ) The correct spelling of this military vehicles is HMMWV (but pronounced Humvee). The letters stand for High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled vehicles. There are various styles of these Humvee's and the latest have armoured plating. They were chosen by the army because of their reliability, availability, maintainability and durability.
