From many parts of the city, there are superb views to the Brindabella Ranges. Much of this mountainous area is encompassed in the Australian Capital Territory's largest national park - Namadgi National Park. If you're drawn to wilderness areas, the remote sections of the park offer challenging hiking. Other areas can be reached on horseback, on short bushwalks or even by car.

A visit to the "Old Parliment House" is a must... A beautiful building, lots of character, and a feel of the past. I love older style architecture, and this building has History written all over it..

The Australian War Memorial is regarded as one of the most impressive war museums in the world, and traces the history of Australia's fighting forces during the two World Wars and other conflicts. The best way to approach the War Memorial is along Anzac Parade, a wide avenue leading from the lake shore. On either side of Anzac Parade, you will see a series of monuments commemorating the forces from the various Australian services and the conflicts in which they served.
