Taken from the Ana Hotel..
Gold Coast

Surfers Paradise, also known as the Gold Coast, is a very popular holiday destination.
And it is not surprising, as there is so much to do here, and so many interesting things to see.
Apart from the beautiful coastline and beaches, there are Islands to explore, waves to ride, cruises through the canals where the 'rich and famous' have their modest little "Mansions" :)) There are many Theme parks, Seaworld, WB Movieworld, Dreamworld, and an incredible amount of Wildlife to see. Tigers, Birds, Sea-creatures, just to name a few.

There are also fantastic hiking/bushwalking areas in the Hinterland. One thing is certain, you would need to spend a lot of time here, if you wanted to see it all.
Taken by me-from a Helicopter..
The Gold Coast has 70 kilometres of coast and 446 kilometres of canals and rivers. This is Australia’s largest expanse of calm water, and you can swim and surf safely all year at 35 patrolled beaches.

The Gold Coast has 3,500 shops, open seven days a week! Beachside retailers and huge shopping centres stock lots of colourful fashions and gifts, and 20 markets on the beachfront and hinterland, add so much more for our shopping pleasure..

It is also Australia’s theme park capital, with 21 themed attractions and heart-thumping rides at four major parks.
You can also see some of Australia’s unique animals and marine life.

I see great area just for relax! Well, I can't lie on a beach for more than 10 min. but some water sports, the Hinterland and trips to Brisbane and Tweed Heads sound very interesting for me.

Great to see there's other Things To Do other than the usual diving etc. Would love to know more abt Currumbin. Other than a national park, what else is there to do there?
