Nambour

Nambour is Maroochy Shire's administrative centre and principal hinterland town of the Sunshine Coast. Located 100 kilometers north of Brisbane, and aproximately 15 kilometers west of Maroochydore.

Until the by pass was built, just a few years ago, The Bruce Highway , which runs from Brisbane to Cairns, used to run through the center of Nambour, now, unless you watch for the sign, you could drive by without knowing it was there... which would be a shame, as this township has a lot to offer the visitor.

    Wow, it's the next place to visit in Queensland. I didn't know that pineapples can grow there - must be sunny :-) and hot :-( area.
