A Dutch settlement (1652)
A city very easy to walk through. The historical buildings are built in the charming Dutch style.
Very cosmopolitant city where Dutch, French, German, English came to establish their colonies. Also lots of slaves came from the East and West Coast of Africa and people from Asia like. |

|  | Cape of Good Hope A trip around that peninsula that dips its feet in both Atlantic and Indian Ocean is delight to the eyes.
The Cape Hope Nature Reserve is a wild flower, bired and animal Paradise.
You can see the South Africa's national flower, the PROTEA, as well as orchids and ericas.
Within the reserve is Cape Point, a pinnacle of rockl which is the most Southwesterly point on the African continent.
On the point is the most powerful lighthouses in the world.
Many shipwrecks are still to be seen: Thomas T. Tucker liberty ship, wrecked in 1942, Phylisa, in 1968, Shir Yib, a floating crane wrecked in l975.
Driving along Chapman's Peak Drive, a lovely Marine drive, we come across a beautiful Town: HOUT BAY.
It's a little fhishing village with it's Cape Fur Seal colony of up to 10 000 on Durker Island. |
