very cool interior , very comfortable sheet . but the commen area is small , and share room is too crowded , room mate can not control herself , their clothes and shoes make me do not know where to step on .

walk 3-4 blocks to supermarket , do not buy drink from little store 1-2 blocks from hotel , walk 2 more blocks can safe much money ,

have to make the bed by myself , need 10 USD key deposit , 33 USD accept credit card , can book bed online on their own website ( without service charge and reply soon ) , some room with window face to street / building / sky !! , but some small room without outside window , too dark in morning , room 57 is nice . common area is small and crowded . great area ( 24hr Time square )

R2 room 6 bed with bathroom without bathroom without air conditioner 30 USD accept credit card ( G8 room 4 bed without bathroom without air conditioner 27 USD , but my bed close to window so it is not that hot ) not often full , need 10 USD cash key deposit .

not security . My key not only can open my room but also the other room .

common area is big , with kitchen .

bad attitude staff : a mid age woman .

nice location , close to nice supermarket and deli .

1st stay :
room 303 .
housekeeping forget to clean the bed after somebody check out / before somebody check in .
I have to change the sheet ... by myself .

dirty floor , key card often broken .
I have to go down stairs to ask them renew again and again .

and the staff do not feel sorry .

breakfast not bad .

14-mix-dorm almost looks the same as 12-bed dorm . but the price is very different ( 17.95 / 30.68 USD ) .

2nd stay:
I check in 1hr before 11 AM because I have to attend class , they charge my card but do not let me leave my luggage , ( have to pay extra 4 USD for luggage room , so I prefer carry them via C train transfer W train to my classroom , not only late for class but also a terrible experience to transfer in 42nd street station )

room 506 is clean . rooftop is nice and empty . no bagel this morning .

4 bed room too narrow ( roommate become very important )

some stranger person in the corner .

I have to check out at morning because I have a class , and the front desk do not let me leave my luggage .

big window :)

the pillow case has a smell of other people's head , and some part of it has a smell of soap , so I guess they do not wash those sheet and pillow case by washing machine , maybe by hand , so not clean , and I did not use it , I put my pillow under the sheet .

There are 6 bed in the my room , and only 2 bed has pillow .

And we can not lock the door when we use toilet .

I stay 10 days here . 18 usd each day . pay in advance .
there is no rule here . you can bargen with the owner . she is a little tricky . but you have to know : if you have to pay 20 usd . you can find better hostel .

located in Harlem but the street is not very dark and empty when I come back about 11 pm .
